Pride of a new york city boriqua

This blog is to tell all wat it is to be a boricua. Its an honor and it gives not only i but others so much joy to be a Puerto Rican. The love that i have seen boricuas give to our country and each other. I remember people lining the street waving Puerto Rican flags along Fifth Avenue in New York during part of the Puerto Rican Day parade. To also know that all whos there is giving pride for what they bealive and what their happy to be. Its not just a label that we carry, we take are culture to the heart. Thats our pride. That the blood running through our veins have history. Our flags meaning all the way to our icons like the "Coqui" (a frog) and even our music. If nothing else our music is about our pride of culture and accomplishment. Thats what some fail to realize,that our accomplishments have everything to do with how far we have come. Just like other cultures we have been ruled over and fought for our independents. For all that we love and all that we still love and fight for. Our sky, our coastal waters and our beautiful island.
